Crocheted Football Beanie- Free Pattern

Here is the pattern I created for my football beanie.  I used a J hook and the hat came out slightly bigger than I liked so I suggest using an I or H hook if you want a smaller size. This hat will fit a child, teen, or adult depending on the size hook you use.  The larger the hook, the larger the hat!

Materials:
Any worsted weight yarn in brown and white
J Hook (for adult size hat)
I or H Hook (for child sized hat)

Abbreviations:
ch= chain
hdc= half double crochet
sc= single crochet
sc2tog= single crochet two together
sl st= slip stitch
st/sts= stitch/stitches
